Carp fishing in Italy:
Italy has more to offer us than just the sea. Modern fishing is now widespread on many lakes. For a long time, the Italian angler had a reputation for killing everything he caught. That has now changed. Capital fish often have to be reset. On some lakes there are actually “No Kill” zones (so called in Italy), where night fishing is explicitly allowed! Not only the large reservoirs of Italy invite the angler, but also the paylakes are enjoying increasing popularity.
Regulations for fishing in Italy:
On many lakes the rules are handled very loosely, especially by locals. However, we advise you not to do so as guests of this country! This is often not uniformly regulated and punished. Night fish in particular are often not observed by the locals. However, if you are caught as an angel tourist with such an offence, it can often be expensive. Unfortunately, many regulations are exclusively in Italian – please look for appropriate translation tools here! Often 3 rods are allowed, the local post offices and fishing shops can often help you. Provided you can speak a little Italian … or the language with “hands and feet” …
Tip for the license procurement in public waters:
Many, large public lakes have their own homepage. In some waters, the “state license” is sufficient, which can be obtained for little money at a post office near the lake. But you will also find lakes where you need an “additional license”. Where you get them, you can see the details of the individual lakes.
No examination or similar is necessary to obtain a “state license”!
Tip for the license procurement on private waters:
No state license or examination, simply book and pay at the appropriate water. As a rule, the Italian Paylakes are rather simple in terms of the rules. Here, too, of course, the effects that a hard-fished body of water can bring about now arise. We draw your attention to the fact that Italian Paylakes often have a lot of fishing spots, so you have to look carefully here to avoid ending up in a completely overcrowded pool. The trend is already going into modern management, keyword “quality instead of quantity”, but this is not yet to be described as usual.
